Changes, they are a-comin!

If you can believe it, I got approved to buy a house. I am completely flabbergasted. I am completely awed. I am completely overwhelmed. I am completely scared to death. How did this happen? How am I able to buy a house?

So I've been looking...

First, I decided that it was most important that none of the kids have to change schools... but houses in Hoover are way out of my price range, and honestly, I'm not very happy with Jake's performance thus far at Hoover High School; I think it's going to serve him better to be at a much smaller school. So we've expanded the search, but it's still limited. I've looked at houses so much now that I don't know that I'll ever find one that I like that will fit our needs (& my budget!). I did find a townhouse that I absolutely LOVE, but it's priced at the high end of my budget & I'd like to find something a little closer to the low end. We're heading back out this weekend to do a whirlwind tour of house hunting... we're going to find it. That perfect house is out there & it will be the right amount of space, the right neighborhood, and at the right price. I just know it.

Like everything else in my life, I had to start over; it was time for a new blog. "Mama said quit" was just too angry. This blog will be all about our new life. Our happy life. Our wonderful adventures in life.

Time to move out of the haze...

Time to find the beauty & the joy...

We are on the road to our happy place. It's there.
